- Personal Biography
Paraska Tolan was born in June of 1989, in Madison Wisconsin. Her parents both taught medieval history and literature at the University of Wisconsin Madison. She later moved to San Francisco, with a little detour through Paris for six months, and then to North Carolina. Finally when she was six she moved across the Atlantic to France. Most of her primary and secondary education was in Nantes, France, a beautiful green city near the Atlantic Ocean. Throughout elementary and secondary schooling Paraska developed a fascination for languages and traveling; first she studied German, then Italian, and finally Spanish. Now she lead a double life; half of me is in Nantes, France, while the other half resides in Waltham Massachusetts. She is planning on majoring in Islamic and Middle-Eastern Studies, and perhaps pursuing studies in journalism. She hopes to be a journalist in the Arab world.
